Installation and fitting guarantee

On top of warranties of more than 50 years on some of the materials (see below) Richmond Bathrooms gives a two year workmanship and fitting guarantee on bathroom installation work. This guarantee is specified on your final receipt which is sent upon the completion of the project and when the final invoice is settled.

We can also sign a minor building work contract with you at the beginning of the project for added peace of mind.  Click here for an example - building work contract.

Materials  guarantee

  • Plumbing - Where possible we use copper pipe and fittings covered by thecopper development association warranty of 50 years.  Where copper is not suitable we use Hep20 plastic pipe and fittings of our installation work.   Hep20 also offer a 50 year guarantee with their fittings which includes replacement parts as well as covering any damaged caused by faults.
  • Taps and mixers - When supplying these we choose from established and well recognised companies. The average guarantee is 10 years from the manufacturer.  For example, you can find details of the 15 year guarantee for Saneux brass wear by clicking here.
  • Ceramics and sanitary wear - Once again we use well-recognised brands which carry up to a lifetime guarantee.   Merlyn is an excellent example.  Their shower doors are guaranteed for a lifetime.  For more details click here.
  • Tiling grout, adhesive and silicon - Tiling and silicon work is an essential part of waterproofing a bathroom.  To ensure bathrooms last we use branded and guaranteed products from suppliers such as Weber, Mapei, Ardex and BAL.  These are guaranteed for up to 25 years.  Click here to see the BAL guarantee.
